In light of the LLH group attending the Hangar Theater production of Ragtime in July, the Book Group attendees decided to insert the book Ragtime by E. L. Doctorow into our upcoming reading list.  Ragtime will be the July selection, and James by Percival Everett will slip to August 12.  

Here's the revised list:

June 10, 2024, 4:00 pm:  Demon Copperhead (Barbara Kingsolver) and David Copperfield (Charles Dickens). The two books may be discussed together as Barbara Kingsolver has developed her characters based on the David Copperfield characters.

July 8, 2024, 4:00 pm: Ragtime (E. L. Doctorow). This historical fiction set in early 20th Century New York City is scheduled as a companion to the Hangar Theater musical production of Ragtime scheduled in July.

Audust 12, 2024, 4:00 pm: On the theme Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Mark Twain): James by Percival Everett and/or The Adventures of Mary Jane (Hope Jahren).
