We will walk on the Black Diamond Trail beginning at the Ithaca Children's Garden in Cass Park.  The trail is wide, unpaved, and goes gently uphill.  We will walk north for about 30 minutes, turn around, and return the same way to our cars.  Directions follow.  So far the weather looks cool, but pleasant.

 

Please let me know if you will be joining the group.  As usual, if the walk has to be cancelled or changed to the Shops at the Ithaca Mall, I will email by 9:30 AM on the day of the walk.

From the intersection of West Buffalo Street and Taughannock Boulevard, turn north on Taughannock.

 

On the left will be Chemung Canal Trust Company and Island Fitness.

 

Drive over the inlet bridge.

 

Take the first left onto Turtle Lane and the beginning of the Ithaca Children's Garden.  The big stone turtle is at this intersection.

 

Follow the road to the parking lot on the right.  Park near the Black Diamond Trail Trailhead, about midway in the parking lot.  We will meet there.
