Our next walk on April 29 will start in the Mundy Wildflower Garden off Caldwell Road in Forest Home.  Flowers are beginning to bloom!  We will meet in the parking lot of the Wildflower Garden.  Directions to get there and for parking follow.  If possible, let me know if you will be on the walk.  If you are uncertain beforehand, just come.  We will continue our walk into the Arboretum as time permits.  I will send a reminder.

 

At the Wildflower Garden, parking is limited.  Please carpool if you can.  Alternate parking is in the Arboretum as described below.

 

As usual, if the walk has to be cancelled or changed to the Shops at the Ithaca Mall, I will email by 9:30 AM on the day of the walk.

Directions:

 

From Community Corners on Hanshaw Road, turn right at the stop sign onto Warren Road.  From Route 13 and Warren Road, turn south on Warren.  Follow Warren past the Cornell Robert Trent Jones Golf Course to the stop sign at the bottom of the hill.  

 

Turn left on Forest Home Drive.

 

Go over the one lane bridge over Fall Creek.  The road becomes Caldwell Road.

 

Right after the bridge, turn right into the parking lot for the Mundy Wildflower Garden.

 

If the parking lot is full, continue on Caldwell.  Turn left into the entrance of the Arboretum between the open wrought iron gates.  A parking lot will be on the left.  It is a short walk to the Wildflower Garden parking lot.

 

From the intersection of Pine Tree Road and Route 366, take Route 366 to the stoplight at Caldwell Road past the Vet School.

 

At the light, turn left on Caldwell and follow it down the hill.

 

Go into the Arboretum on the right, or continue to the stop sign at Forest Home Drive.

 

Turn left into the driveway for the Mundy Wildflower Garden and park there.
