Our next walk will be at Taughannock Falls State Park on Monday, June 10, at 10:00 AM.  The trail to the falls is easy, flat, and wide.  Consider using insect repellant.  We will meet in the parking lot at the beginning of the trail.  Directions follow.

 

For people at least 62 years old, there is no parking fee from Monday to Friday except on holidays.  If there is room, park in the lot at the beginning of the trail.  If filled, enter the park on the opposite side of Route 89, go straight, and park there.   Use caution crossing the road.  

 

 

Please let me know if you will be joining the group.  Come at the last minute if your schedule allows.  As usual, if the walk needs to be cancelled or changed to the Shops at the Ithaca Mall, I will notify you by 9:30 AM on the day of the walk.

From the intersection of Buffalo Street and Taughannock Boulevard, Route 89, turn north on Taughannock.

 

Pass Island Fitness and the Children's Garden on the left and the Cass Park Skating Rink and Hangar Theatre on the right.  

 

Drive about 9 miles (12 to 15 minutes) to the park.

 

Turn left into the parking area closest to the beginning of the trail to the falls.. If that lot is filled, enter the park on the opposite side of the road and park there.
