Join this in-person tour of Buffalo Street Books (215 N Cayuga St.) and get to know how our oldest local bookstore evolved and is changing and how it operates. What keeps it running? How are books distributed and selected? What does it mean to be a cooperative bookstore? How are in-store events and author support part of the enterprise?
Lisa Swayze, manager and book buyer will answer these questions and more about Ithaca’s local treasure, Buffalo Street Books.
Meet at the bookstore in their comfortable reading room on Tues., March 6 at 2:00 PM.
Transportation to and from Downtown is available for $3 each way! A Gadabout bus will pick up our members at a central location, and drop them off back there after the event. Ten bus spots are available- first come, first serve. If you would like to take the bus, let us know at least one week prior (by Feb 28) at the contact information below:
