On Monday April 8th, a total solar eclipse will be visible across a narrow band of North America extending from Mexico to Newfoundland. In this talk, we’ll discuss eclipses in general and what might be seen from different locations in upstate New York. We’ll also give a brief overview of what to look for in the night sky this spring from Ithaca. Presented by Martha P. Haynes, Distinguished Professor of Arts and Sciences in Astronomy at Cornell University, and Chair of CCAT Observatory Board of Directors.
