We will be discussing the four-part critically acclaimed Netflix series Death by Lightning which depicts the campaign and election of James Garfield, 20th president of the United States. In addition to highlighting Garfield's anti-corruption and pro-civil rights stances, the series also tells the story of Charles Guiteau, a man who was not only Garfield’s greatest admirer but also his assassin.
