Our next walk will be on the Black Diamond Trail at 10:00 AM.  We will begin our walk at upper Taughannock, meeting in the new large paved parking lot on Gorge Road.  Bring your driver's license.  There is no charge for people over 65, but you must register at the machine in the parking lot.  Directions follow.  

The trail is very pretty, fairly wide, unpaved, and goes gradually downhill.  We will walk for about 30 minutes and will turn around and go back to our starting place.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Let me know if you can join the walk.  Come at the last minute if your plans change.  If the walk needs to be cancelled or changed to the Shops at the Ithaca Mall, I will notify you by 8:30 AM.

Directions:

From the intersection of West Buffalo Street and Taughannock Boulevard (Route 89), go north on Taughannock.  

Pass Island Fitness on the left and the Cass Park rink on the right.

Drive for about 8 miles.

Turn left on Gorge Road just before the Taughannock Farms Inn.  Follow it uphill for about 1 mile.  The parking area is on the right.  We will meet there.
