Thursday, October 30
4:30-5:00 PM: Public Presentation with Anna Kelles
5:00-7:00 PM: Trivia game with host Dave Ashton of Lite Rock 97.3!
Teams will all represent a different decade, and players are encouraged to dress up in costumes representative of their team's decade! There will be prizes for the best dressed team, and the trivia champions. Prizes will include goodies from Cinemapolis, Finger Lakes ReUse, and more.
$30 player fee includes one drink and dessert. Players are welcome to bring a snack to share with their team, decade themed snacks are welcome. Event proceeds benefit the David Sprague Sponsored Member Fund which provides membership at no cost to low income seniors, giving them access to social events and services like transportation, friendly visits, light home maintenance, and more.
HOW IT WORKS:
All teams will get asked the same question, and will write down their answers. All questions are about a variety of topics related to Tompkins County history and/or pop culture. Some answers will be multiple choice and others will be fill in the blank. The team with the most points at the end of the game are our winners!
Trivia Night FAQs
Do I HAVE to dress up?
We encourage dressing in the style of your teams’ decade, but we do not require it! There is a prize for the “best dressed team”!
Can I register as an individual?
Absolutely, you can request a decade or teammate(s) or just register and we will match you with a team!
What does the $30 ticket cover?
A trivia player spot, dessert, and a drink token. All remaining proceeds will benefit the David Sprague Sponsored Member Fund!
How does it work?
All teams will get asked the same question, read aloud by emcee DJ Dave Ashton. Players will work within their teams to come up with an answer and write it down to submit. All questions are about a variety of topics related to Tompkins County history and/or pop culture.
How does a team win?
The team with the most points at the end of the game are our winners!
